INFORMATION FOR CYCLING INSTRUCTORS
On Your Bike Cycle Training would like to hear from you if you are a qualified instructor. We specialize in delivering Bikeability level 1, 2 & 3 to individuals and groups, schools and delivery of the practical element of Safe Urban Driver training.
Are you a Bikeability Instructor accredited to the national standard?
On Your Bike Cycle training will be joining up with other Bikeability instructors not only to better promote and market their activities, but also to protect their own profession.
As we are not an employer you must be self-employed to be
able to join. You also must have completed the full 4 day Bikeability
National Standard Instructor's course and be provisionally or fully accredited and
registered with an Instructor Training Organisation (ITO). You will also need
cycle activity provider insurance (as provided by the CTC or British Cycling). You will also be subject to a Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS check).
It is important to understand that joining On Your Bike
Cycle Training as an instructor there is not a guarantee for work however we are in a position to provide regular work instructors.
As an organisation we are in a good position to secure
funding and to negotiate with schools (which is impossible as an individual
sole-trader). We value established relations in this process and think that
local instructors should work at their local schools wherever possible.
